Doctoral Scholarship Program
The National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) has been one of the
major public institutions granting fellowships to Lebanese students specialising
in various science disciplines (Ph. D.) abroad.
Over 450 graduates from this programme work in Lebanese universities.
Likewise most of the senior staff members of the CNRS are past recipients
of these fellowships.
This programme however, was temporarily frozen during the years of the
civil war and reactivated as of the academic year 1999-2000.
