National Centre for Marine Sciences -
agreements
Several agreements and protocols govern the scientific
relationship of the National Centre for Marine Sciences with regional and
international organizations. Most of these agreements have been signed by the
parent organization on behalf of NCMS. The major agreements that cover joint
research activities , joint supervision of research projects , advanced
training etc. are the following:
- Higher Council of Sciences, Syria.
- The Institute for Marine Research, Lattakia, Syria
- Ecole National Supérieur de Technique Avancées,
France
- Centre d'Océanologie de Marseille, Univ. de Marseille,
France
- Inter-Islamic Science and Technology Network on Oceanography,
Izmir, Turkey
- IFREMER, France
- The NCMS enjoys close relationships with various mainline
ministries such as the Ministry of Environment, and through it is integrated to
several of the activities of the UNEP Mediterranean Action Plan.
- The NCMS is linked up to various Mediterranean centres and
organizations through joint projects financed by the European Community.
